In this list, we shall go over five of the games that were missed at the State of Play event in February 2025.

State of Play 2025 has given us a brief roadmap of what to expect from the PlayStation brand heading into 2025. Titles such as Lies of P: Overture, Saros, Tides of Annihilation, MindsEye, and more will arrive over the course of the year.
The February 2025 iteration of State of Play was stacked no doubt, but we were left a bit disappointed due to a few notable absences from the lineup. These include already announced titles as well as titles that fans have been begging for.
These are five games that were sadly missing from the State of Play event in February 2025.
1) Marvel’s Wolverine

There is no doubt that Insomniac has been carrying the PlayStation brand for the better part of the last seven years with titles such as Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank, and more. When it was first revealed that Insomniac would be taking on Wolverine next, fans were beyond excited. Early build footage of Wolverine then leaked, and we’ve since heard nothing from Insomniac about the same. We were hoping to have an official gameplay preview or trailer of the game at State of Play, but we got nothing unfortunately.
2) Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

Hideo Kojima and his studio have been giving us routine peeks at Death Stranding 2: On The Beach through trailers, teasers, and more. However, they have only filled us with confusion.
Heading into the State of Play 2025, we were fully prepared to have our collective mind crumble due to Hideo Kojima’s revelations. Unfortunately, Kojima was nowhere to be seen at State of Play.
3) Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Intergalactic was THE big reveal at The Game Awards, and we have heard nothing from Naughty Dog since. Naughty Dog’s new space-faring adventure looks nothing like their recent launches, so you can’t help but be intrigued. While we’ve had a look at the game’s setting, we know nothing of the gameplay loop.
After the peek during The Game Awards, we had hoped to get more details at State of Play. But, the game was dearly missed.
4) Ghost of Yotei

Ghost of Yotei was announced on September 24, 2024, and it has been almost half a year since. Sucker Punch has not given us any updates. The initial trailer showed a new protagonist, gave us a sense of the setting, and provided a brief preview of the story and themes that would be tackled. But, we have so many questions: Who is this new person? What is she fighting for? What happened to Jin? With so many questions bugging us, we had hoped for some answers at the State of Play. No luck, but we are still excited.
5) Bloodborne

You may want to sit down for what we’re about to tell you: Bloodborne turns 10 this year. Yes, time has passed that fast, and fans have spent the better part of the decade begging for a remaster, a remake, a 60 fps patch, a PC port, and much more. Despite this, Sony is radio silent. The recent crackdown on Bloodborne patches had us hoping that Sony was cooking something up and would reveal a remake/remaster/sequel at the event, but we got nothing. Regardless, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, so we shall hold on hope for more Bloodborne.
