Gigabyte AORUS AI Box with RTX 5090 has many interesting features, so let’s dive in and check out what this external graphics card solution is capable of. Firstly, it has the full-fat Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, unlike the laptop chip, which has worse specs than the desktop version. The RTX 5090 AORUS AI Box features 32GB VRAM.
The new GPU solution was unveiled at Computex 2025, by the way, where demos were provided to various members of the press. The performance is definitely outstanding, thanks to the use of the modern Thunderbolt 5 interface. We are slowly reaching the point where using an external GPU solution does not have any major bandwidth bottlenecks, thanks to newer connections.

Sadly, Gigabyte did not reveal the pricing or availability details of its RTX 5090 external GPU solution. However, we can make some guesses. The AORUS RTX 4090 Gaming Box eGPU, which was released earlier, costs between $2,500 to $3,000.
We can expect a similar price for this RTX 5090 eGPU. However, RTX 5090 graphics card prices keep changing, and if the stock situation for this flagship variant does not improve, there is a chance the AORUS AI Box with RTX 5090 from Gigabyte will also cost more than expected. The GPU will probably be available to purchase sometime this year.
