You will be building a Workbench at the early stages of your playthrough in Grounded 2. You get the task to build one as you make progress in the story and reach the “Pick up an Omni-Tool” objective in the game. The missions are straightforward, and you can also collect some crafting materials while you’re doing the tasks.

How To Unlock Workbench Blueprint

Simply follow the story missions, which also serve as a tutorial for various mechanics of the game. Eventually, you’ll be using Omni-Tool and turn it into an Axe to chop some Grass Planks. You can’t store these items in your inventory, so you will need to carry them back. Bring the planks to the Research Analyzer to unlock the Workbench blueprint.

Once you have the blueprint, you can place it on the ground and start collecting crafting materials to finish your Workbench. Here is a quick rundown of the materials needed:

  • 3x Grass Plank
  • 4x Spring
  • 2x Sap

Fortunately, you don’t have to go far just to collect these crafting materials. Use your Omni-Tool to chop down some Grass Planks. Springs are small two-leaf plants you can commonly find throughout the map. As for the sap, you can find it dripping on barks. If you collected these materials while progressing through the previous missions, you should be able to go.

Once you have the required materials, head back to the Workbench blueprint and place the items in there. You can then use the workbench to craft even more items like weapons, consumables, and more.
