Spine Nub is a type of resource you get from killing new creatures in Grounded 2. Here’s how to effectively farm them.
In Grounded 2, there are many new creatures that you can hunt for new items, one of which is the Spine Nub. These can be sourced from killing Caterpillars, a new type of passive creature that tends to roam around in the Pine Hill and Snackbar Front zones. Spine Nub is an important resource for many Tier-2 recipes.

Best Spine Nub Farming Location in Grounded 2
As mentioned before, Spine Nub is a loot item that Caterpillars drop upon death. However, these docile bugs are quite hard to find in the currently playable regions of Brookhollow Park. To effectively locate some, you have to head to the Pine Hill zone, which is in the top-left corner of the map.
Pine Hill houses a large pine tree, which has a hollow section underneath for you to explore. You can occasionally find multiple Caterpillars moving on the branches. The quickest way to reach this place is by climbing the mushroom-riddled roots in the southern section and moving along the different branches until you can go deeper. They also rarely spawn in the top-right corner of Snackbar Front, but going there can be a waste of time due to the abysmal spawn rates.
Caterpillars do not attack players and have no resistances or weaknesses. Each one has three health chunks and can be farmed quite easily. The only hard part about killing the Caterpillars is having to hear the sad whimpering noise they make when hit. Each Caterpillar drops around 0 to 3 Spine Nubs, so you might have to make occasional trips to Pine Hill to farm more.
