In this guide, we’ll explore how you can find water in Grounded 2 and some of the best ways of carrying it.

Grounded 2 keeps the same premise as its predecessor, where you play as a human that’s shrunk down to the size of a small insect. And, in this state, you’ll have to find the resources to survive. Even the smallest of ants can pose a huge challenge if you’re unprepared. As a survival game, Grounded 2 forces you to manage your hunger and thirst as well. If you don’t drink any water for too long, you’ll simply die of dehydration. Thankfully, you can collect water from various sources if you know how.
In the following guide, we explain how you can get water in Grounded 2, and the best ways to keep a steady collection of this important resource.
How To Find Water in Grounded 2

In the initial hours of the game, the best source of water is dew droplets from grasses and leaves. Simply look up at the vegetation around you, and you might be able to spot a droplet or two nearby. In most instances, they won’t just automatically fall on the ground though. Instead, you might need to manually knock the dew drops down so you can consume the water. Hitting the leaf or blade of grass with your weapon is an easy way to do this. If you’re lucky, you might find a droplet fall naturally and roll down a slope.
Apart from clean water in the form of dew, the game also allows you to consume dirty water. For instance, you will find water inside puddles that can also quench your thirst. However, unlike dew drops, drinking from these sketchy sources will have a significant disadvantage for you. Dirty water consumption makes you fall sick, which will increase the rate at which your hunger bar depletes. So, we suggest avoiding these dirty water sources completely, especially since pure water is readily available across most spots.
Other ways to hydrate include raiding juice and soda containers that you can locate easily near the trash in Brookhollow Park. Again, these sources of hydration are not ideal, although not as bad as drinking dirty water from puddles.

How To Store Water in Grounded 2
During the early hours, you don’t have any way to store water for future use. You can drink your fill and then go on your way. This method relies on you finding water sources when your hydration levels are low. During emergencies, doing so can be difficult. However, when you’re dehydrated, you need to take a drink within two minutes or risk dying. As the game progresses, you will find several ways of storing excess water so that you can easily take a drink whenever necessary.
For instance, you will be able to craft a canteen that can carry fresh water. Besides that, you will also be able to make water containers and dew collectors, both of which are great ways of storing excess clean water.
