Since its release in March 2025, Grow a Garden has become one of the most played games on Roblox. The game has over 235 million visits (a number that is rising by the day). Naturally, developers have also introduced multiple updates and patch notes to make the game even more engaging.
A new patch update has seen a buzz around a rumored addition called Traveling Merchant. But can that be found? Let’s explore the update.
Is There a Traveling Merchant NPC in Grow a Garden Roblox?
To clear the confusion, the Traveling Merchant is not a distinct NPC or permanent feature in the game. It refers to a special shop that was temporarily introduced during the Easter 2025 event. There appears to have been a developer announcement mix-up, as it was initially called the “Traveling Shop” instead of the Easter Shop.
One of the developers’ (Jandel) announcements about a “Traveling Shop” led players to speculate about a possible NPC merchant in the game. These NPC merchants are not that unfamiliar, as they can be seen in other games such as Sol’s RNG or Pet Simulator 99.
The Traveling Shop, however, is no longer available in the game. The shop was only active during the Easter event, which ended before April 28, 2025. Reports suggest that a bug made the developers disable this particular addition from the game. It is no longer accessible in the game as of the latest updates.
