It may have equipped him with the tactical know-how we’ll see in GTA 6.

After the Army, Jason found himself working once again for local drug runners, slipping right back into the life he was trying to escape. It’s here where he seems to be operating when GTA 6 begins. He is someone who wants an easy life but keeps getting pulled deeper into the mess.
