GTA 6 Trailer 2 has got a lot going on but one of the things that ties it all together is the song. For those who haven’t recognised it and are not too into ’80s music, it is Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters. The song plays in the background as the three-minute trailer rolls out, featuring a look at an assortment of lively characters and various locations that are a part of GTA 6.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 Song Choice Suits The Content

Trailer 2 focuses on a short look at the relationship between Jason and Lucia in GTA 6, their motivations, underpinnings, and crimes in Vice City and beyond. We get a look at the colorful world of the modern-day version of the beloved city, along with a lively bunch of characters who inhabit it. The latter includes the likes of Cal Hampton, a paranoid conspiracy theorist, and Brian Heder, “a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys”.

Hot Together fits in perfectly for this all. For context, Trailer 1 (that debuted in December 2023) was accompanied by Love Is a Long Road by Tom Petty. GTA 6 Trailer 2 has racked up roughly 76 million views on YouTube, along with 4.7 million likes as of this writing. The shadow drop also caused the Rockstar Games website to crash as players flocked to learn more about the much-anticipated title.

With its release getting delayed from 2025, GTA 6 comes out on May 26, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players will have to wait further.
