HasanAbi stated that he will not visit Gaza because the people who invited him to the region cannot guarantee his safety.
Twitch streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker told his audience that journalists invited him to visit Gaza. Despite telling his audience that he has wanted to visit the place since the Israel-Palestine conflict began, he turned down the offer. According to Piker, the people who invited him cannot guarantee his safety, so he will not travel to Gaza.
The Israel-Palestine conflict dates back centuries, but the issue has escalated since the late 19th century. Both sides have experienced violent conflicts in recent decades, but the issue blew up on social media after October 7, 2023. HasanAbi has actively covered the conflict and has a pro-Palestine stance.
His political views have led to conflicts with other content creators. Notably, H3 Podcast’s Ethan Klein called HasanAbi out for his allegedly antisemitic views. United States Congressman Ritchie Torres also called out the streamer and Twitch for platforming antisemitic views.
HasanAbi Reveals Why He Will Not Visit Gaza
During a broadcast on February 27, 2025, HasanAbi gave his viewers an update on his planned trip to Gaza:
“I was invited by f**king journalists that work in Gaza and I unfortunately most likely will not be able to go because the ppl I talked to said they could not give me security assurances.”

The topic of Hasan’s visit to Gaza surfaced after Ethan Klein said he would go to Israel with his family. Klein is known for his pro-Israel stance, while Hasan considers Israel an “apartheid state.” He responded to Klein’s tweet, saying:
“No way! The guy who ended his podcast over disagreements on Israel’s genocide and who spent the last year trying to get every pro-Palestinian voice banned is visiting Israel like Michael Rapaport? He’s going to show us all that there’s no apartheid!!”
Hasan’s tweet went viral, prompting internet users to ask him about his Gaza trip. While the streamer will not be visiting the region, he has advocated for Palestinian rights and has raised over $1 million for aid.
Ethan Klein and Hasan Are Engaged in a Feud
HasanAbi and Ethan Klein hosted podcasts together, but they stopped collaborating in 2023 amidst the Israel-Palestine conflict. Their difference in ideologies caused a clash between the two content creators. Klein called out Hasan’s views through multiple videos, while Piker asked his former friend to debate him.
Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt recently told his audience that he is open to hosting a debate between Klein and Hasan. The streamer said:
“Fine with me. Oh, you think I would ever refuse content? (Reading his chat) ‘Hasan would never?’ Well, he was the one that initiated it. Hasan wanted to debate Ethan himself. Yeah, so, I don’t know what you mean by that.”

HasanAbi made a video titled “Debate Me Ethan Klein,” asking Klein to talk to him on any platform of his choosing. However, Klein has declined Hasan’s offer, and the two content creators continue to feud with each other.
