In a surprise Twitter/X post, the developers at Portkey Games have revealed an upcoming Summer Update for their Hogwarts Legacy game. These new features will be available on all platforms on June 6, 2024. Let’s dive in an take a closer look at what we can expect to see in this new update!

Top New Features Available in Summer Update for Hogwarts Legacy:
- Brand New Photo Mode
- Reset Talent Points
- Haunted Hogsmeade Quest
- Cosmetics
- Felix Felicis Potion Recipe
- Onyx Hippogriff Mount
The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest was originally exclusive to Playstation players at launch, but will now be officially available on all platforms with this summer update on June 6th. While this may be a disappointment for Playstation players who have already completed it, this will be brand new for everyone else. Completing this quest will allow you to open your own shop in Hogsmeade, where you can sell all of the excess gear you’ve picked up on your adventures.
Additionally, this new update will also allow players to reset their chosen Talent Points. Talent Points are the leveling up mechanic in Hogwarts Legacy, and how you could make spells and potions more powerful. When the game released you couldn’t earn enough talent points to unlock every talent, therefore, this will allow players to more easily experiment with builds.
Furthermore, this update will also include a new photo mode. This will offer players a variety of settings that will allow them to take vibrant in-game screenshots.
Finally, there are a handful of new cosmetics to dress your character up with. These include some ‘Harry Potter’ inspired /spectacles, as well as some Azakaban prisoner robes. A new Felix Felicis Potion recipe will grant you some extra luck as you explore. And you can travel across the map on the back of a new Onyx Hippogriff Mount or Lavender Borealis Broom.
