Silk Hearts in Hollow Knight Silksong aren’t just random collectibles. They are extremely rare upgrade items that you’ll want to collect at all costs. Grabbing them all is crucial if you want to unlock Hornet’s true power and potential.
The game offers only three of these Silk Hearts, which makes finding them even trickier owing to the expansive map and several secret nooks and crannies. So, here’s a detailed guide on where you can locate all three of the Silk Hearts in the game.
Where To Find Silk Hearts in Hollow Knight Silksong

| Silk Heart 1 | The Marrow | After defeating the Bell Beast boss, touch the large orb of Silk the boss drops. This immediately transports Hornet to a location where you’ll have to quickly scale the crumbling platforms. After climbing for a while, you’ll find a lever that you have to hit repeatedly to reach the very top where the Silk Heart is. |
| Silk Heart 2 | Whiteward | Enter Whiteward using the White Key, and head upward. Then, take a right and scale further up. Next, take the left path and break through the wall here. Inside, you can activate a lever high up using the Clawline. You will get the Surgeon’s Key in this way, which you can use to access The Unravelled fight. After defeating the boss, climb that chamber to find the second Silk Heart. You’ll have to complete another platforming section here, just like the first one. |
| Silk Heart 3 | Cogwork Core | Fight through to Lace in Cogwork Core. You’ll have to take down the dormant warrior on the way, along with various other enemies. After this battle is over, Hornet will again reach a platforming section. Complete this to secure the third and final Silk Heart. |

What Do Silk Hearts Do?
Hornet relies on her Silk spool to use or cast many of her abilities or tools, including the healing Bind. Although she can regenerate some of the used Silk when she attacks enemies, she might still run out in certain cases. This usually happens during some of the longer encounters involving tough bosses or swarms of enemies. In such cases, a Silk Heart enables her to recover one notch of Silk on the Spool when she has no remaining Silk to use. So, you can use these items to sustain Silk Skill casts even after Hornet exhausts all of her Silk reserves.
