Where To Find Groal the Great in Hollow Knight Silksong?

This enemy boss is at the very top of Bilehaven, and it is widely viewed as the hardest place to reach in Hollow Knight Silksong. You will have to ascend and do some creative platforming, and we recommend using the Silk Soar Super Jump ability to speed up the ascent. These are the two ways to reach the top:

• Putrefied Ducts
• Sinner’s Road

Both areas are full of environmental threats, such as poison, and are guarded by different kinds of enemies. Once you reach the top, you will then be greeted by Groal the Great.

This boss primarily uses aerial attacks and has only one battle phase. The key to winning this battle is to stay quick on your feet and react to their moves. • Mouth Suction: Groal will open its mouth and suck in air to pull Hornet toward them. Counter it by running in the opposite direction to avoid being pulled in.
• Minion Spawn: Smaller enemies will enter the fight to attack you. It is best to focus your attacks on them first.
• White Spit: Similar to the Green Ball Shot, Groal the Great will first let out a ferocious scream before firing white spit. Dodge the incoming projectiles and keep moving.

Tips and Tricks

The best way to take on Groal the Great is to stay in positions he can’t reach naturally. The risky method is to rush toward the poison, which would be critical to Hornet’s health, but the boss won’t try to reach you there. You can heal later after dealing with attacks.

There is a safer and smarter approach, which is to strike only when you can. Whenever Groal dives into the pool, keep an eye on the water but also heal if needed. Speed is the name of the game, so use every weapon and ability at your disposal.
