Where To Get Ascendant’s Grip in Hollow Knight Silksong?

You can buy the Ascendant’s Grip tool from Jubilana for 350 Rosaries. There’s no other way to obtain this item, since you can’t find it lying around anywhere or as a drop after defeating an enemy. It’s also worth noting that you don’t have access to Jubilana’s shop from the beginning.

Instead, you’ll need to complete the Wandering Merchant wish to unlock her as a trader. You can only accept and complete this wish during Act 2 of Hollow Knight Silksong. After you complete that quest, you can find Jubilana in the Songclave region of the game.

Many situations in the game require her to scale up walls, and one wrong move could send her plunging to her demise. In these cases, having the Ascendant’s Grip tool means that Hornet will be able to grab onto a nearby wall while falling, giving her a second chance in the platforming section.

Since you can hold yourself in place on walls, this tool can also enable you to time your movements in sections where there are enemies or spikes above you. Hornet can cling to the wall and wait for the enemy or spike to move away before she proceeds forward. It’s a very handy tool to have in your possession.
