Act 3 of Hollow Knight Silksong rewards Hornet with many abilities, one of them being the Beastling Call. The Bell Beast teaches the ability to teleport her to the closest Bell Station from anywhere. The song becomes extremely convenient in Act 3 of the game for backtracking. It’s found in the Grand Bellway Station, inside its tunnels, where the Bell Eater boss fight also awaits. Here’s how you can get the Beastling Call in Hollow Knight Silksong.

The Beastling Call is rewarded for defeating the Bell Eater. It is located in the Bell Eater Tunnels that Hornet uses to travel, usually with the Bell Beast. You can trigger the boss fight by going to the Grand Bellway beneath the Choral Chambers. When you try to summon the Bell Beast, the Bell Eater will show up instead of the beast. Entering the tunnel will bring you face-to-face with the Bell Eater. The Bell Eater is an Arena boss that surrounds you with its worm body and starts spewing acid.

After defeating the Bell Eater, the beast babies (three of them!) show up from their hiding spots and teach you the Beastling Call. The call is a Needolin ability that you can play using the UP+Y/UP+Δ buttons on your Xbox and PS controllers, respectively. This ability lets you teleport to the closest Bell Station in the area and takes a bit of time to teleport. You can use this ability in extreme situations where you are low on health or do not want to backtrack.

Why Does the Bell Eater Awaken?

The Bell Eater is a dormant bug that lies in the Bell Tunnels of Pharloom. But, after Pharloom begins to crumble due to the Abyss, the Bell Eater awakens again. The Bell Eater might be a predator of the Bell Beast, given how its attacks spew red-hot acid, and its scales are very hard. Even the Bell Beast is seen to be hiding until you defeat the Bell Eater, but it could be to protect her babies too.

The fact that the arena for the Bell Eater is the tunnels also shows how it hunts, wrapping its prey and slowly melting its part with its acid. This is the reason why the boss does not show itself until Act 3, where the Abyss destroys almost all of Pharloom.
