The Curvesickle is one of the few tools that you can upgrade to in Hollow Knight Silksong. Here’s how you can get it.

The Curvesickle tool is a hidden upgrade available for free in Hollow Knight Silksong for your Curveclaw weapon. However, there are some requirements to be met. You have to obtain the Curveclaw and reach Act 3 of the game. Then, a room in the Far Fields requires a little interaction that will get the attention of a hidden NPC. The Curvesickle is a massive upgrade if you have used the Curveclaw weapon until Act 3. Here’s how you can get the Curvesickle.
Getting the Curvesickle in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Curvesickle is locked behind a secret quest in the Far Fields. After reaching Act 3 of the game, the room above the bottom bench in Far Fields changes. It can be found on the right side, with a small target board at the front. Before Act 3, you will find two ant enemies inside the room practicing their ranged weapons on a target. However, this room changes later, with multiple targets. Before going to this room, you have to obtain the Curveclaw, which can be found or bought from Mottled Skarr.
After equipping the weapon, you have to place Hornet in a position where you can hit all targets at once with the Curveclaw. A bit of trial and error will place Hornet in the perfect position to do it. After that, an ant NPC shows up from beneath the ground. Interacting with it will take the Curveclaw away from your inventory.
Then, you have to go out of the room and sit at the nearest bench to progress the in-game time. Going inside the room again, you will find the Curvesickle on the ground. This successfully completes the hidden quest, and your Curveclaw will be turned into the Curvesickle. Reaching the room before Act 3 will show only one target and enemies inside the room, indicating that you cannot upgrade your tool yet.
Is the Curvesickle Useful?
The Curvesickle provides higher damage and a wide arc while being thrown. This allows you to hit multiple enemies for higher damage. Similarly to the Curveclaw, you can also apply poison on the tool by equipping the Polyp Pouch. The Curvesickle is very useful against flying enemies and large mob counts, such as the Whiteward Chapel gauntlet.
