Silk Soar, also known as the Super Jump, is one of the most useful abilities you can get in Hollow Knight Silksong. This skill flings Hornet upwards, allowing her to reach higher platforms quickly. This saves you a lot of time when traversing vertical areas. Needless to say, it’s a huge time saver in the later stages of the game. With that said, acquiring this ability will take time and effort.

How To Unlock Silk Soar Super Jump in Hollow Knight Silksong

To unlock the ability to do a Super Jump in Hollow Knight Silksong, you first need to complete Act 3. You should be in the Abyss at this point in your playthrough. Start from the lower floor’s bench. Then, make your way to the right side of the map and keep moving until you see a deep vertical hole. Drop down, and it will lead you to an area where you can unlock the ability.

There should be an altar in there that you can inspect. Finish the cutscene and you’ll unlock the ability. It’s a pretty straightforward path. However, the journey to get there will require you to invest time and effort. But once you acquire it, it will help you a lot in navigating most of the areas from Act 3 onwards.

How To Use Super Jump in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Silk Soar ability works differently from a regular jump in Hollow Knight Silksong. This ability requires you to wind up a jump animation and consumes a Silk. Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can do it:

• Hold the movement stick down and the Harpoon skill button. This will wind up the ability and prepare for a Super Jump.
• Once the charging is complete, Hornet will jump upward, reaching a much greater vertical height.

Here is a quick rundown of the controls for each platform:

• PC: Down Arrow + S
• PS5: Left Stick Down + L2
• Xbox Series X/S: Left Stick Down + LT (Left Trigger)
• Switch: Left Stick Down + ZL

Keep in mind that it takes time to charge up a Super Jump. This means you need to be careful when using it while enemies are nearby.
