26-year-old YouTuber MrBeast is a renowned internet personality who has been mired in controversy in recent times.
James “Jimmy” Donaldson, better known as “MrBeast,” is a renowned internet personality and philanthropist, who is currently the most-subscribed YouTuber. The Kansas native was born on May 7, 1998, which makes him 26 years old as of this writing. Since launching his primary channel in February 2012, the content creator has amassed a staggering 60 billion views across 820 videos uploaded to his channel.
MrBeast’s Personal Life Explored
MrBeast was born in Wichita, Kansas, and later raised in Greenville, North Carolina. According to online sources, the content creator’s parents divorced in 2007. The 26-year-old graduated from Greenville Christian Academy in 2016 and attended East Carolina University. He dropped out to pursue an online career on YouTube.
Another aspect of MrBeast’s personal life that he has spoken about is that he suffers from Crohn’s disease. For those unaware, Crohn’s disease is an autoimmune condition that affects the digestive tract lining. In an X post from September 2023, the content creator revealed that he had to quit amateur-level baseball:

Controversies Surrounding MrBeast
2024 has been the year when MrBeast found himself embroiled in a series of controversies. The catalyst for the situation was the scandal involving his former crew member, Ava Kris Tyson, who was accused of grooming and having inappropriate interactions with a minor.
On July 24, 2024, DogPack404, a former MrBeast employee, posted a 53-minute video accusing Jimmy of faking his content, manipulating children, operating illegal lotteries, and selling fake signatures to his audience. This “exposé” went viral on the internet, prompting more people to make allegations against MrBeast.
Another former employee, Jake Weddle, eventually collaborated with DogPack404 on a 50-minute video titled I Worked For MrBeast, He’s A Sociopath. Weddle leveled some serious accusations against Jimmy, accusing him of hiring a registered sex offender and allegedly providing unsafe working conditions while filming a video. According to Jake Weddle, MrBeast’s team allegedly kept him sleep-deprived while filming the video, which never saw the light of day.
Aside from that, MrBeast’s upcoming Amazon Prime game show, Beast Games, has come under scrutiny, with claims of unsafe working conditions and harassment leveled against them. Court documents surfaced on the internet in September 2024, indicating that five Beast Games contestants, who have yet to be identified as plaintiffs, had filed a lawsuit against Beast Games, MrBeast, and Amazon.
