Valkyrae is one of the most popular streamers on YouTube and the co-owner of 100 Thieves. She is 32 years old.
Rachell Marie Hofstetter, better known by her online alias “Valkyrae,” is a renowned figure in the livestreaming community. Born on January 8, 1992 (32 years old as of this writing), Valkyrae is best known for her gaming, Just Chatting, and reaction content. She has been affiliated with 100 Thieves for several years, and on April 7, 2021, she became the co-owner of the professional esports organization, alongside fellow streamer Jack “CouRageJD.”
During a livestream a few months ago, the content creator made a lighthearted comment about her age. Furthermore, she stated that she belonged to the generation when “gaming started”:
“Hello, everyone. Welcome! My name is Valkyrae. I’m old and I have a lot of advices for you from my own personal experiences. Like, my generational age is when gaming started. So, all the people my age grew up with gaming. Like, I was thinking about it yesterday, I was like, ‘I’m playing Minecraft Pixelmon.’ Like, I’m heavily addicted to it. All of my friends are also doing it, and we’re all the same age as people who normally have college degrees with 15 kids, getting married, getting divorced, getting married again, getting divorced again, having more kids… It’s like, wow! I didn’t think life would turn out this way.”
The Recent Controversy Surrounding Valkyrae’s Age Explored
Earlier this month, on October 5, 2024, X user @divinecoup’s X post went viral. In the social media post, the netizen made a rather contentious comment about Valkyrae’s age, stating that the streamer dressing up like a “schoolgirl” at the age of 32 was “super weird”:
“Valkyrae is 32 years old, dressing like a schoolgirl. Super weird, go start a family.”

Three days later (October 8, 2024), the YouTuber responded to the X user’s post and “addressed the allegations” that she was aging by saying:
“I’m here to address the allegations. The allegations being that yes… the rumors are true. I am aging. And I am, indeed, a woman. I am a woman with ovaries, and I am aging. And yes, for the rest of my life, I’m going to be told I’m too old to play video games, and too old to dress up for Halloween, or to promote my company by wearing a fashion outfit! So yeah, it’s true.”
