The Kingslayer is the final boss of Chapter Three in the Grasslands World. He’s one of the toughest bosses in Pixel Blade, wielding a massive sword, dark armor with purple accents, and a set of punishing melee attacks.

You’ll face him after clearing all rooms in Chapter 3. Once that’s done, a button will unlock the throne room where the boss awaits. Also, make sure to redeem the latest Pixel Blade Codes for free rewards.

Sword Toss

The first move you’ll see when entering the throne room. He throws his sword in a straight line that applies Poison and deals knockback.

Tip: Enter the room from the side to easily dodge it. He may use this again later in the fight.

Sword Slash

A quick circular slash with low range. Applies Poison and knockback.

Tip: Dash backwards when you see him winding up. Easy to avoid.

Double Sword Slash

A follow-up version of the normal slash. Two circular slashes with a short delay between them.

Tip: Looks similar to the regular slash, but if you notice a pause, be ready to dodge a second time. The second slash cannot be parried.

Sword Slam

He crouches, leaps up, and slams his sword down in a wide cone-shaped AOE. Applies Poison and knockback.

Tip: The crouch gives you a clear warning. Dash to the side immediately, don’t try to block it.

Minion Summon (Below 50% HP)

At half health, he spawns 3 minions, either Mage or Bolt mobs. They knock you back on spawn.

Tip: Back away as soon as he drops below 50%. Focus on the Bolt minion first, since its stun is the biggest threat. Clear the Mages next, then return to The Kingslayer. He may repeat this summons if the fight drags on.

Combat Strategy Tips

  • Know the Attack Pattern: His general cycle is: Sword Toss → Single Slash → Double Slash (if last was single) → Sword Slam
  • Watch for the Second Phase: After two full cycles post-50% HP, he starts summoning minions.
  • Parry the Single Slash: You can parry the first slash, but not the double. Similar to the Giant Goblin’s mechanics.
  • No Elemental Damage Unless Buffed: Kingslayer doesn’t deal elemental damage unless an active buff is applied.

Rewards for Defeating Kingslayer

You’ll receive Coins, EXP, and random loot drops for defeating him. Beating him on Heroic difficulty rewards Tier 2 chests, which contain higher-quality gear.

After victory, a hand appears above him, signifying his failure and absorbing his soul, marking the end of Grasslands Chapter 3.

The Kingslayer is a challenging fight that tests your timing, dodging, and crowd control. Learn to recognize his wind-ups, prioritize threats during minion spawns, and take advantage of the parry window on his first slash.
