The Silver Smugglers is a group that you need to take down in Assassin’s Creed Shadows as part of a quest. These people smuggle Lord Fujitaka’s silver shipments and trade the silver for teppo rifles, which they sell for high profits to bandits. You can take down the members of the Silver Smugglers to help out Lord Fujitaka and gain his support. The Silver trader is one of the members you have to assassinate to complete the quest. 

To help you out, here’s a simple guide on how to locate and assassinate the Silver Trader in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Location of The Silver Trader in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Silver Trader is a ruthless silver merchant who is in charge of the trading of the silver for teppo. After you finish off some other members of the group, here are some clues that you can find to help you search for the target: 

• He operates in Wakasa.
• He is in northern Mount Uchinakao.
• He and his men are stationed in a fort.

The fort mentioned in the clues is the Genbao Fort in the northernmost section of the Wakasa region. It is a highly secluded location, and the closest human settlement is the port city of Tsuruga in northern Wakasa. Use the pathfinder ability and mark the fort in the image above to quickly reach the target. 

Once at the fort, climb the northwestern side and activate the viewpoint. Climb back down and use observation right in the middle of the fort on the roof of a building. The Silver Trader is on the southwestern side of the fort, along with two of his men guarding his rear. He is on the ground and in a very open area; therefore, locating him won’t be difficult.

How To Beat The Silver Trader in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The Silver Trader is a large, ruthless warrior who uses a poisoned kanabo. Additionally, he is surrounded by his men, making this a difficult fight to tackle head-on. We recommend using Naoe for this mission, as her stealth is invaluable when it comes to silently thinning out enemy numbers. First, perch on the edge of a roof that gives you a good vantage point. Then, use a kunai to deactivate the bell on the southeastern side of the fort. 

With nothing to alert the whole area, you can focus on the Silver Trader and two of his men. Now, use two more kunai to finish off the men guarding him. There are two of them standing right behind him, so killing them won’t alert the target. After finishing off the two men, you can focus on the silver merchant.

Start the fight with an assassination from above; he has seven health chunks, so a one-shot assassination is unlikely without proper skill and gear. However, this does take down his health by quite a bit, giving you an advantage before even starting the fight. 

Take your time and do not rush, as his poisoned kanabo packs quite some punch. Maintain your distance and attack with a Kusarigama to defeat the Silver Trader. All you need to do is avoid his slow and heavy attacks from time to time.
