Hunt Mammoths for Tusks
The Mammoth Tusk is an extremely rare drop that only comes from killing Mammoths. The drop rate is low, so be prepared to hunt multiple Mammoths before obtaining enough tusks. Mammoths are very tough enemies and require a lot of rifle ammunition to take down, so stock up before the hunt. You will need two Mammoth Tusks in total to craft the Mammoth Helmet.
Hunt Wolves for Pelts
Once you have your tusks, the next step is gathering two wolf pelts. Wolves are less dangerous than Mammoths but still put up a fight. Hunt them down and collect the pelts for the recipe.
Find and Prepare the Workshop
The Mammoth Helmet can only be crafted at the Workshop, which is a large stone-brick building that looks like a castle. It’s controlled by cultists, so you’ll have to fight your way inside. The Workshop appears on the map as an anvil icon with an exclamation mark. Inside, you’ll find a large anvil in the center that must be assembled before crafting. Here is how to assemble the anvil:
- The base is located on the first floor.
- The two upper parts are on the second and third floors, which can be reached by climbing vines through the broken ceiling.
Once the anvil is complete, you’ll be able to craft items at the workbench.
