In Pokemon Violet, defeating the Elite Four and Champion Geeta is not the endgame. Instead, the final boss of the game is an AI version of Turo, the Pokemon Professor. He uses a team of Paradox Pokemon from the future, which can be difficult to deal with unless prepared. In this guide, we will look at the best Pokemon in the game to use against AI Turo.

Much like his Scarlet counterpart, AI Turo has a team of Paradox Pokemon to battle the player with. Most of these have high Speed stats and can hit equally hard. However, several of his team have noticeable weaknesses to Ground-, Electric-, and Rock-type moves.

How To Use the Best Team To Defeat AI Professor Turo in Pokemon Violet

  • Skeledirge: Skeledirge isn’t as useful against AI Turo as it is for Sada, but its ability to set up while attacking with Torch Song makes it a useful secondary attacker. It also handily checks Turo’s ace, Iron Valiant.
  • Garchomp: Garchomp, especially if you can get one from a Tera Raid, is excellent against Turo. It easily deals with Iron Moth, Iron Thorns, and Iron Hands, and can make a few risky plays against Iron Bundle and Iron Valiant as well.
  • Garganacl: This Rock-type is here to KO Turo’s Iron Jugulis. It also performs decently against Iron Thorns and Iron Moth.
  • Magnezone: Magnezone’s main job is to handle Iron Bundle. It resists all of the future Delibird robot’s moves and can KO it with Thunderbolt.
  • Hatterene: Hatterene is here to deal with Iron Valiant as it resists both of its STAB moves. It has enough bulk to survive a Poison Jab, but is holding a Kebia Berry to guarantee survival of one hit.
  • Heracross: Heracross provides crucial Fighting coverage against Pokemon like Iron Bundle and Iron Thorns. It also hits Iron Jugulis neutrally, but beware of its Flying-type STAB, Air Slash.

Best IVs and EVs To Train for This Team

You want max IVs for your Pokemon if possible. For EVs, Skeledirge, Hatterene, and Magnezone want Special Attack EVs, while the others want Attack EVs. This is a mostly slow team, but Heracross and Garchomp require Speed investment.

  • Skeledirge also has Earth Power to hit Pokemon like Iron Moth, Iron Hands, and Iron Thorns with super effective coverage. The last one is risky, but with enough bulk, Skeledirge could potentially survive a non-critical hit Stone Edge from full HP.
  • Turo’s ace, Iron Valiant, is holding a Booster Energy that will boost one of its stats, either Speed or Attack. Keep that in mind while switching in a Pokemon.
  • A Magnezone with the ability Analytic is more likely to guarantee a KO on Iron Bundle. This is because Analytic does more damage if the opponent moves first, which will happen with Iron Bundle regardless of any Speed investment. However, Sturdy is overall more useful defensively.
