How To Find and Defeat River Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Find and defeat the River Yamabushi, which is one of the nine from the Yamabushi Imposter Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, there are many notorious organisations that are to be defeated. The Yamabushi imposters are one in particular that have to be defeated by Naoe and Yasuke. In this guide, we will look at how to find and defeat the River Yamabushi.

There are nine Yamabushis present on the entire map. The River Yamabushi is one of these infamous imposters who misuse the status of the Yamabushi to disguise themselves and later attack several innocent civilians.

Find the River Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The objective quest states that the River Yamabushi takes to stalking travellers in the region of Yamato. He could be found in central Yoshino, and his last known kill was in Mitarai Valley.

On the world map, to the left of Ominesanji Temple, there is a fast-travel point that you can use to get closer to the location of this imposter. Once there, proceed towards the east direction, and you will reach the cliff of the mountain, at the bottom of which you will see, by the lake, the River Imposter practicing with his sword.

Assassinate the River Yamabushi

Your character describes him as appearing to have dressed as a mountain monk but taken strides like a soldier. Using this giveaway, approach the River Imposter. First, sneak up to the small cliff right behind the imposter. Scale your way down and quickly perform a stealth attack. This will deplete his life by close to half, giving you an advantage in the fight.

The imposter has a considerable chunk of life, making him tougher to take down. Use your special abilities as soon as you can to drain his life to the bare minimum before delivering the final blow.

After killing this Yamabushi, you receive three rewards.

1. Susanno’s Torrent – Epic Bow
2. Armour-piercing on multiple enemies – Engraving
3. 2 Mastery points
4. Mon – x330
