How To Find and Defeat Village Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Find and defeat the Village Yamabushi who belong to the nine from the Yamabushi Imposter Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

There are many organisations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that have to be taken down by Naoe and Yasuke due to the threat they possess. One of these many organisations is the Yamabushi Imposter. In this guide, we will look at how to find and defeat the Village Yamabushi.

There are nine Yamabushis present on the entire map. This particular imposter is on a path of self-discovery as he practises asceticism. He understands the sins he has committed. Yasuke decides to let him go, as he knows the imposter is treading on the path of death eventually.

Assassinate the Village Yamabushi in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Village Yamabushi is at Mibuno Vale in the region of Iga. Once you reach the area, proceed towards the Shinobi Training Grounds till you reach a waterfall surrounded by colourful trees and flowers by a shrine. Now ascend the flight of stairs up to the shrine. As soon as you reach up, look to the left, and you will see the Village Yamabushi.

The Yamabushi continues to sit in his meditative state without granting any reaction to your arrival. We sense something is wrong and are then tasked with scouting the area to find some clues.

Investigate the Area Around the Village Yamabushi

The first clue is located right in front of the doorstep of the shrine. There is a cooking pot which you can investigate. This pot has no food in it. You only see bark and pine needles with a scent of bitter tea and resin.

The second clue is to the left of the Yamabushi. At the foot of a small lantern-like structure is an armour set with a Lord Nobunaga crest placed on the ground. Upon investigating it, we find out that it belonged to a high-ranking soldier. The armour has not been worn for a long time.

The third clue is to the right of the cooking pot. There are some letters or reports placed by a small temple on a slab. A writing on one letter mentions the hunting of travellers on their pilgrimage routes, and another reads haunting the mountains of Kii. Investigate this last piece of evidence and walk up to the Yamabushi.
