Lies of P features some of the most memorable questlines in any souls-like game to date, and the recently released Overture DLC is no exception to this rule. One of the earliest quests in Overture comes in the form of a request from Rosaura, a friendly puppet. You meet Rosaura right after defeating the first main story boss. The quest is fairly simple: you have to find Rosaura’s shoes that she lost while trying to flee the hostile puppets.
However, to get her shoes, you need to explore the nearby carnival area, which is filled with puppets and even a mini-boss encounter. Once you do find Rosaura’s shoes, you will initiate a lengthy quest chain that offers really good rewards.

Location of Rosaura’s Shoes in Lies of P Overture
You can find Rosaura in the area you reach right after defeating the first main story boss, the Tyrannical Predator. You can hear Rosaura’s call for help near the Stargazer, and upon talking to her, she reveals her backstory. Rosaura was essentially trying to make her way to the Rose Estate, the area where you eventually arrive at the start of the base game.
However, along the way, she ends up getting sidetracked by a White Butterfly, which eventually leads her to a group of hostile puppets. In a bid to run away from the puppets, Rosaura ends up losing her shoes. Upon your arrival, Rosaura asks you to find her shoes so she can make her way to the Rose Estate.
The key item you’re looking for is the Rose Shoes. To get the shoes, you need to make your way to the Carousel at the back of the Carnival. However, before you can reach the Carousel, you need to defeat several puppets and even a Parade Master mini-boss. Once you make your way to the Carousel, head to your right, and you will find a treasure chest containing the shoes. Note that the Carousel also has a few enemies stationed on it. We recommend clearing the area of all enemies before you look for the shoes.
After you find the Rose Shoes, return to Rosaura to complete her quest. Rosaura will reward you with a piece of a treasure map as well as a Record (Lisrim) for your troubles.
Is Rosaura’s Side Quest Necessary for the Main Story in Overture?
No, Rosaura’s side quest isn’t needed for the main story of Lies of P Overture. However, completing it does reward you with a special weapon as well as plenty of Ergo. Additionally, completing her quest also sheds some light on Carlo’s past with a new NPC interaction in the base game. It should be noted that you can complete Rosaura’s quest after finishing the main story and the DLC. However, you can only do so if you have already set her quest chain in motion prior to defeating Arlecchino.
