Everything you need to know about the secret of the Mountaintop in Elden Ring Nightreign, including its location, rewards, and more.

Elden Ring Nightreign, much like its predecessor, features a ton of hidden secrets that are very easy to miss while you try to make your way over to the Nightlords. However, if you do take some time to explore Limveld and figure out some of its environmental puzzles, you will be rewarded handsomely for your time. The Shifting Earth events, which task you with figuring out a specific location on the map, are particularly interesting. While it’s not easy to locate these very specific locations, doing so will grant you a buff (boon) that not only helps against the Nightlord but also against the enemies you will face on the way to those bosses.
One such Shifting Earth event is in the Mountaintops. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the secret of the Mountaintop in Elden Ring and how to locate it.
How To Reach the Mountaintop in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Mountaintop is only accessible during its Shifting Earth event. Like with any other Shifting Earth event, the Mountaintops can spawn randomly in Limveld. However, at the start of your run, you can check if you have the Shifting Earth event enabled via the Expedition menu. The Mountaintop is available from Day 1, but it’s an area that is best tackled on Day 2 with at least Level 10 Nightfarers. Additionally, if you already have the Mountaintop Shifting Earth event enabled, it’s best to grab some Frost Resistance Relics before heading to the Expedition. You can get good Frost Resistance Relics by farming Fissure in the Fog, or even defeating the Nightlord.
Once you hit Day 2, simply make your way to the north, and make sure your Nightfarers are at least Level 10. Similar to other Shifting Earth events, Mountaintop is home to some really powerful enemies and bosses, with some that can potentially one-shot your entire party. This is where you will find the Frost Resistant Relics useful. Additionally, taking down the bosses on the Mountaintop rewards you with a huge chunk of Runes.
How To Find the Secret of the Mountaintop

To find the secret of the Mountaintop in Elden Ring Nightreign, you need to scale the area’s highest peak. While getting to the top of the “Ice Mountain” isn’t necessarily difficult per se, defeating the bosses on that path can be quite a challenge. This is why you want to tackle the Mountaintop after hitting Level 10 or higher. Make sure to grab either a Fire, Poison, or Bleed weapon on your way to the Mountaintop, which will help a ton against the bosses there. Once you reach Day 2, slowly start making your way to the north. Once you reach the Mountaintop, keep to the east, and you will eventually reach an area with a Flying Dragon boss. You will also find the dragon fighting a Troll.
This is the indication that you are on the right path. Defeat the Dragon and the Troll to progress. Next, you need to scale the mountain from the west. You can use the Spiritspring and the climbable rocks to get to the top. At the top, you will find a Frost Dragon. This boss is tough; however, with Frost Resistance, it shouldn’t be too difficult to defeat. You can also skip the Dragon. However, in doing so, you will make it more difficult to figure out the path to the top of the Mountain. The Frost Dragon is weak to Fire and Bleed. Once you defeat the Dragon, keep heading east and scale the rocks to reach the “Mountaintop.”
At the top, you will find a crystallized structure. Interact with the crystal to get a boon that increases your attack power and Frost Resistance. This boon comes extremely handy against Caligo (Fissure in the Fog).
