You can obtain the Carved Traveler Groot skin for free by completing the Midnight Features II event in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5.
The highly anticipated second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1, titled Season 1.5, has officially begun. A new season means new events, heroes, and skins. With this new season update, Human Torch and The Things have finally arrived in Marvel Rivals, completing the Fantastic Four group.
In addition to new heroes, NetEase Games has once again generously provided free skins, including the Blood Blaze Skin for Human Torch and Carved Traveler Skin for Groot. While the former can be obtained via competitive matches, the latter is exclusive to Midnight Features II, a limited-time event. The Carved Traveler costume provides a violent and brutal look to the Guardians of the Galaxy hero, featuring carvings and markings all over his body.
How To Obtain the Free Carved Traveler Skin for Groot in Marvel Rivals
The Carved Traveler costume can be obtained as the final reward of Midnight Features II, an event running during Season 1.5. This works similarly to how players obtained the Reborn From Ragnarok skin for Thor from the previous Midnight Features event.
Similarly, you must complete all investigations in the Midnight Features II event before the season concludes to get the Carved Traveler costume. In addition to the costume, completing the event missions also grants additional rewards:
- Turning the Pages Gallery Card
- Star Turn Gallery Card
- Plans within Plans Gallery Card
- Ratatoskr Nameplate
How To Complete Midnight Features II
You can access the Midnight Features II event from the Event section during Season 1.5. This opens up the questlines in a magazine format, with each headline featuring different investigations. Clicking on a specific headline reveals the investigation missions. These missions are fairly simple to complete. Open each headline and finish all the missions under investigation to progress through event milestones.
However, some events may appear in black and white, indicating that they are not yet available. You can check the timer to know when they will be available. Once you complete an investigation, you can claim the corresponding reward on the left side of the event screen. Similarly, completing the fifth investigation will grant you the coveted Carved Traveler costume for free.
