When it comes to the combat aspect of Oblivion Remastered, you get a lot of options for weaponry. Among all the weapons, the bow is one of the most versatile due to how the enemies act in the game. You can rain down arrows on most enemies from afar without them even detecting you. If you are halfway through the game, the Frostwyrm Bow is a great choice when it comes to damage and enchantments.

However, the bow is a drop from a specific enemy, so players might easily miss it. Here’s a guide to help you get the Frostwyrm Bow in Oblivion Remastered.

The Frostwyrm Bow is a unique weapon in Oblivion Remastered. In other words, you can only have one in each playthrough of the game. The bow is a drop that you get from Uderfrykte Matron. She is a unique ice-troll who lives near the Dive Rock.

She is on the far northeast side of Cyrodill. First, unlock the Dive Rock camp on your map, and then go south from it. You can find the Uderfrykte Matron somewhere on the hillside. Her fur is completely white, so spotting her can pose a challenge in the beginning. Fortunately, she stays beside Agnar’s body and does not move around much. You can also refer to the image above to get an idea of her location.

Uderfrykte Matron is not an easy miniboss. We recommended staying far away from her and attacking with ranged weapons to whittle her health down. If you position yourself above her, her AI won’t detect you even if you attack her with arrows. After you defeat her, you can loot the Frostwyrm Bow from her body.

Frostwyrm Bow Enchantments and Attributes

The Frostwyrm Bow is a great two-handed ranged weapon with a 12 base damage. However, the overall damage depends on what type of arrow you use. The enchantment of the bow makes it so that you deal 15 Frost damage and slow anyone who is hit with the arrows. The slow effect is great for keeping your distance from dangerous enemies.
