How To Get Protector’s Armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows lets you find and equip a range of legendary items as both Naoe and Yasuke. These weapons and armor have some of the best perks associated with them, making them valuable items to acquire and use. You’ll mostly get legendary items by looting the well-guarded castles across the entire map. Or, you might discover legendary chests while exploring the world, which might drop legendary items too.

However, every item has a specific location in-game. The Protector’s Armor is one such legendary item that you can acquire and equip on Yasuke. In this guide, we’ll explain where you can find the Protector’s Armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and what perk it has.

How To Find the Protector’s Armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The armor is inside Nijo Palace in Kyoto City. Although named “Palace,” this is another one of the castles in the game. As with all other castles in the game, you’ll first need to clear the grounds of any Samurai Daisho roaming around. Nijo Palace has two Samurai Daisho you need to clear. The first one is in the northwest corner of the castle, where there’s a training area. The second Samurai Daisho is patrolling inside a garden in the northern parts of the castle.

Killing both of these Samurai Daisho will open the trapdoor on top of Castle Keep. Enter through this door and just look to your right to spot the Legendary Chest. Interact with it to get the Protector’s Armor. Keep in mind that the armor is for Yasuke only. Naoe cannot equip it.

How To Use the Protector’s Armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The shining gold Protector’s Armor has an incredibly useful perk. When Yasuke equips the armor, he can start parrying the red glowing attacks from enemies. These are normally attacks that you can only dodge, but not block or parry. However, with the Protector’s Armor perk, Yasuke will no longer need to sidestep these attacks. He can parry them and defeat enemies much quicker.

As with all other legendary items, this armor piece has another vacant perk slot that you can fill with the perk of your choice, making the gear even more powerful.
