Black Myth: Wukong is filled with challenging enemies and difficult bosses. This means that every upgrade you get makes an immense impact on your experience. For this, the game provides you with many different items and ingredients that make your journey through its many chapters easier.
Refined Iron Sand is one such item that you can use to upgrade your Staff, the primary weapon you use in Black Myth: Wukong. The ingredient, while being required in elements from Chapter 2, can be found for the first time in Chapter 3 of the game.
Where to find Refined Iron Sand in Black Myth: Wukong
In order to unlock Refined Iron Sand in the game, you must progress to Chapter 3. After completing Chapter 2 by defeating Yellow Wind Sage, head to the first Keeper’s Shrine for Chapter 3.
Here, you can navigate to the Store section of the Keeper’s Shrine menu. You will find Refined Iron Sand available for purchase in exchange for Will in the Buy section. You will require 1200 Will for each Refined Iron Sand you want to purchase.
Additionally, you can also find Refined Iron Sand in the game’s world. Enemies in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 can drop this valuable material at times. Finally, be sure to check any chests or bowls along your journey to have a shot at acquiring more Refined Iron Sand. While the resource is quite scarce in earlier chapters of Black Myth: Wukong, it becomes a lot more common Chapter 4 onwards.
Refined Iron Sand is classified as a General Weapon Material in the game. It allows players to unlock new Staff weapons such as the Loongwreathe Staff, which becomes available to craft after you defeat Red Loong or Black Loong.
