Learn how to unlock the Soaring Tatsu (legendary trinket) for Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and what makes it worth the effort.

Soaring Tatsu is a legendary trinket in Assassin’s Creed Shadows that provides substantial buffs to health, critical chance, and vulnerable damage. It comes pre-equipped with an engraving which buffs armor-piercing damage by 1% for every Mastery Point you have spent in the Tanto Skill Tree. Since it is a trinket, Soaring Tatsu can only be used by Naoe. To receive Soaring Tatsu, you must complete a People of Omi side mission with either Naoe or Yasuke.
Where to Find Soaring Tatsu Trinket in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To unlock Soaring Tatsu (legendary trinket), complete The Godai Shinobi side mission. The quest can be accepted after completing Requiem for Rokkaku and talking to Shotei.
It involves tracking down and assassinating five elite shinobi spread out across Iga and Omi: the Godai of Void, Godai of Wind, Godai of Earth, Godai of Fire, and Godai of Water. They are all Shotei’s former students who have forsaken the righteous path in favor of causing havoc across the land for their own gain.
Defeat The Godai Shinobi
Defeating each shinobi will have its own considerable rewards, but the prized Soaring Tatsu is earned upon completing the entire quest and speaking with Shotei. You can track down the Godai Shinobi organization from the Objective Board, following clues to find their locations.
- Godai of the Void – Found in Daikichiji Temple in northeast Omi.
- Godai of the Water – Waits at the southwest shore of Lake Biwa in Omi, in the Mangetsuji Temple.
- Godai of the Wind – Located in Shimagahara Valley directly west of Mibuno Castle in Iga. The Shimagahara Valley Legendary Chest is situated nearby.
- Godai of the Earth – Stays at Otaniinari Shrine northwest of Kashiwara Kakurega in Iga.
- Godai of the Fire – Rests by the Hiei Foothill Viewpoint in Omi’s Mt. Hiei.
Once all the shinobi are eliminated, speak with Shotei to receive the following rewards:
- 5,500 XP
- Soaring Tatsu (legendary trinket)
- Armor Piercing for Tanto Mastery (legendary engraving)
- Improved Ground Assassinate – Naoe Skill
- Brutal Assassination – Yasuke Skill
Soaring Tatsu Bonuses in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Soaring Tatsu (legendary trinket) improves health, critical damage, and vulnerable damage significantly. Furthermore, Armor Piercing for Tanto Mastery (legendary engraving) increases armor-piercing damage by 1% for every mastery point in Tanto. Here are the bonuses you can expect to receive upon equipping Soaring Tatsu.
- Health – 15%
- Critical Damage – 31.5%

If you max out the Tanto Skill Tree, you will deal 24% extra armor-piercing damage with the engraving equipped. Additionally, Soaring Tatsu has a vacant engraving slot. If you plan on using it, be sure to visit the blacksmith at the Hideout and insert a secondary engraving to enhance your build.
