How To Get the Parasitic Staff
Parasitic Staff is a level 1 wizard ability. The only way to unlock this ability is to spend one ability point in the wizard ability tree. It requires player level 1, i.e., it can be unlocked just at the start of the game after getting an ability point.
However, to cast Parasitic Staff, players need to equip a grimoire with ability level 1 or higher. If a player purchases this spell, they can cast it without using a grimoire. Whenever a player casts a purchased spell from a grimoire, it upgrades the spell to a higher rank.
Parasitic Staff in Avowed
This starter spell can help players in a very efficient way. The main purpose of this spell is to restore essence when fighting enemies. Each rank makes the spell more powerful, but players have to reach the required level to unlock higher ranks. Here are the effects of Parasitic Staff with different ranks:
- Rank 1: This rank unlocks at level 1. Summons a staff of negative energy for 30 seconds that restores Essence to the wielder with every strike.
- Rank 2: Players need to be level 5 to unlock this rank. At 20 Essence, Power Attacks create a large area of effect, dealing high stun to enemies and restoring a proportional amount of Essence to the wielder.
- Rank 3: This rank unlocks at level 8. Increases summon duration to 45 seconds.
