After meeting Caedmon, you will encounter Sargamis, a god-like Oracle with a golden face. Interact with him to learn about the Splinter of Eothas relic and his plan to bring back Eothas. You will be tasked to retrieve the relic as an optional objective. The path to the relic is straightforward, requiring you to fend off a few enemies.
- After talking to Oracle Sargamis, take the path in the southeast into the temple.
- Swim underwater to get across the area.
- Follow along the path until you reach the library.
- Defeat the enemies in the area and clear the web that blocks your path.
- Proceed along the way to face another group of enemies near a broken stair-like structure.
- Defeat the enemies and jump across the stairs to reach the platform.
- It takes you to a narrow doorway, where you will find the Splinter of Eothas relic at a shrine.
What To Do With the Splinter of Eothas in Avowed?
Once you obtain the Splinter of Eothas, you will have multiple choices. You can either use it to determine the ending of the quest or you can just sell it to make some profit for yourself.
- You can take back the Splinter of Eothas to Oracle Sargamis to bring up multiple choices.
- You can either place the Splinter of Eothas relic at the statue to assist in his experiment. However, the mechanism won’t work and Sargamis asks you to sacrifice your life. You can choose to either give your life or convince him to sacrifice his life for Eothas.
- The second option involves fighting and defeating Sargamis, ending his plans once and for all.
- Alternatively, you can keep the Splinter of Eothas with yourself and sell the relic to make a small profit.
You will receive the Last Light of Day—a unique sword—by defeating Oracle Sargamis or sacrificing his life during the quest.
