One mechanic which is just as important as sneaking around in Sniper Elite Resistance is “healing”. If you don’t heal at the right time in the game, chances are, your character will end up dying and eventually fail the objective you were pursuing. So, unless you want everything to be reset from the last save, you should know how to heal the protagonist.

Harry Hawker will typically start a mission with two bandages and one medkit. Unfortunately, these don’t go a long way in completing the same mission. Both of these items have a different healing quality but serve the same purposes.

For example, if you are inflicted with the Bleeding effect, you don’t need to apply a bandage first to stop it. You can simply use your Medkit if that’s what you have equipped and still stop the bleeding while recovering your health at the same time.

Once the Bleeding effect has been applied, it will pop up on your screen as a warning. If you missed it, you can also spot it in the bottom right corner on the far-right end of your health bar as a blood drop. This is when healing becomes absolutely essential otherwise you will lose health over time.

If the Bleeding effect has not applied, you can wait for the perfect opportunity, but if you are Bleeding, we suggest that you enter cover immediately and patch yourself up.

To heal, you must follow the following steps:

  • PC Users: Press Q to select Bandages or Medkits from your multi-wheel. Once selected, it will typically show up on the right side of your weapon on the bottom right (above the health bar). Now, press/hold F to use the item.
  • Console Users: Hold L1/LB to access the multi-wheel and select the healing item of your choice. Now, you must press/hold R1/RB until the animation completes and the bleeding has stopped, or the appropriate amount of healing has taken place.

While Bandages and Medkits perform the same functions, the former restores 2 bars of health while the latter heals 4 bars, often restoring you to max health.
