How To Use a Special Attack
When fighting an enemy in Avowed, players can see a yellow bar below the health bar of enemy. Use a combination of light and heavy attacks and fill this bar to stun the enemy momentarily, allowing players to execute a special attack during this time. Note that players can only use their main-handed weapon to unleash the special attack. Therefore, upgrading the main-handed weapon can increase the damage of these attacks by a good margin.

Every weapon in Avowed has a different special attack animation. Light weapons like swords or daggers have a quick animation.
