As of February 27, 2025, Splitgate 2 Alpha is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Moreover, the game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it fully releases. The process of accessing the Open Alpha is very simple and is almost the same for every platform:
- Go to the store of the platform you are using, such as Steam for Windows PC, Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X/S, or PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5.
- Head to the search tab and type Splitgate 2.
- Click on the Open Alpha Test.
- Download the game and enjoy portaling.
About Splitgate 2
Splitgate 2 is a very fun game set in a futuristic world where players can teleport anywhere on the map. Moreover, the size of the maps is huge, allowing players to outsmart each other with their portals. There are five maps: Bypass, Eden, Frontier, Ozone, and Zenith. Players can enjoy multiple modes on these maps.
There are game modes like Team Deathmatch, Hotzone, and a new 8v8v8 multi-team mode. Moreover, the alpha added two new modes: Firecracker and Splitball. At first, the game feels like a blend of generalized shooter games and Portal, but the developers give this game a distinct vibe.
