The Boxing Gloves Melee Weapon in Black Ops 6 and Warzone is a reward in the ’90s Action Heroes event. Call of Duty initially revealed it in the Season 5 roadmap. Now two weeks into Season 5, we finally know how you can unlock it in the games. This weapon can be acquired for free. All that the developers ask of you is to put in some time and effort to accumulate XP. Once sufficient XP is collected, the weapon will be unlocked.

The Boxing Gloves Melee Weapon in Black Ops 6 and Warzone is the Mastery Reward of the ’90s Action Heroes event. To unlock it, you must first get your hands on all the other rewards in the event. Essentially, you must earn a total of 626,000 XP in the latest event. That is it. When you reach this XP milestone, you will have unlocked all other rewards, thus awarding you the Boxing Gloves.
But that’s not all. If you own the Season 5 BlackCell Battle Pass, you’ll also get a unique variant of these Boxing Gloves, giving them a premium look and feel, just perfect to knock out your enemies as a ’90s action hero.
Once you’ve unlocked it, you can find these Gloves under the Melee Weapon section of your loadout. Right off the bat, it deals moderate damage. However, the attack speed and lunge range make up for it, making it extremely lethal on smaller maps such as Stakeout.
To earn XP, simply play any game mode in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer/Zombies or Warzone. By doing so, you’ll earn XP, and this counts towards your progression for the reward. If you don’t get to play the games often and feel like you are running low on time, simply consume a Double XP Token to cut the time required to unlock it in half.
Furthermore, it is recommended to play objective-based game modes with the Strategist Combat Specialty equipped for additional experience points. Since it is an event reward, you won’t lose it even if you Prestige your account.
But even then, if you’re unable to manage time to unlock it, don’t worry. If you missed it during the event, you can obtain it later through the Armory. However, if you choose the latter route, it could end up becoming even more time-consuming. Hence, you should definitely try to get it during the ’90s Action Heroes event.
