Each chapter of Deltarune has its own secret boss you can face. For Chapter 1, that role is fulfilled by Jevil. The jester is currently locked in a cell by Seam, the shopkeeper.

Jevil will ask you to free him from his constraints by finding the key to his cell. However, this key has been broken into three separate pieces. You must locate all three and then find someone to repair them to unlock Jevil’s Cell in Deltarune.

Once you talk to Jevil, head over to Seam and talk about the ‘Strange Prisoner’. This will initiate a dialogue, where he will give you Broken Key A, and also give you a clue regarding Broken Key B.

This clue is: Walk where the stars don’t shine.

This will lead you to the Forest, or specifically, the Scissors-Dancers area. Going to the bottom-left corner will let you walk through a dark path. At the end of the path, you will find a chest. This will have Broken Key B. With this, we only have one key left.

Finally, you have to go to the Field. You will find a Spade and Diamond puzzle in the top-right section of this area. The order of the puzzle is: Diamond, Heart, Club, Spade.

You can now grab the Broken Key C from a chest. With that, you will have all three key pieces you need.

Repair Jevil’s Cell Key

Finding the three key pieces was not enough. You must also take these keys to Malius, who will fix them up for you. You can find Malius in the Bake Sale area of the Dark Kingdom in Chapter 1.

Once they fix up this key, you can take the repaired key to Jevil’s cell and unlock the cell. This will start a boss fight against Jevil.

That was everything to know about how you can unlock Jevil’s cell in chapter 1 of Deltarune.
