Dynasty Warriors’ latest entry, Dynasty Warriors Origins, is right around the corner, and fans couldn’t be more excited. The latest game in the series is shaping up to be an exciting entry, set to bring in a plethora of new mechanics and looks to put a greater emphasis on the story.
If you’re a fan of the franchise or a new player looking to hop in and purchase the game, you may be confused between the two editions available for purchase. Dynasty Warriors Origins has a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition, the latter coming packed with tons of content. The Standard Edition costs $69.99, while the Deluxe costs $89.99. But is the Dynasty Warriors Origins Deluxe Edition worth it? Yes, but only if you’re a hardcore fan of the series.

Official Book and Original Soundtrack
The Deluxe Edition features an Official Book and the game’s Original Soundtrack, both of which can be accessed in-game. The book depicts various illustrations covering major events in the game and also expands upon the franchise’s lore with new character briefs. Some charts depict the various relationships the prominent characters share. The Original Soundtrack features all the tracks that have been made for the game.
Letters and Items
The Deluxe Edition also includes Letters that will help you obtain gold that you can later use for purchasing items and weapons. If you own the Deluxe Edition, simply head to any of the Inns in the game to retrieve your letter and use it. Keep in mind that these Letters will only be available after a certain point in the story.
Is the Deluxe Edition Worth It?
As we stated earlier, the Deluxe Edition is worth it, but only for hardcore fans of the series. The Official Book and the Original Soundtrack are the main selling points of this edition. The book explores the various important figures and relationships that span the events of the Three Kingdoms saga, and it is worthwhile for fans who have closely followed the lore of the franchise. A new player could stand to gain information from it, but we would not recommend it at the $89.99 price point.
