YouTube star Darren “IShowSpeed” seemingly confirmed that he will be playing in the Sidemen Charity Match 2025.
YouTube star Darren “IShowSpeed” had a hot take before participating in the recently concluded Match For Hope 2025 charity football event. He had said that he would retire if he failed to score. Unfortunately for him, not only did he fail to score (although he did provide an assist), but his team (Team Chunkz X IShowSpeed) ended up on the losing end of a 6-5 scoreline. Naturally, a deflated Speed expressed his desire to hang his boots from footballing events.
When confronted by KSI (captain of Team KSI X Aboflah), Speed was quite reluctant to participate in the upcoming Sidemen Charity Match 2025. However, after being offered to play in the event, Speed proposed that KSI sing his viral song Thick Of It. Upon doing so. Speed had said:
“The only way I am playing in the Sidemen Charity Match is if you sing Thick Of It right now.”
KSI ended up being a good sport and sang the viral song, only for the YouTube streamer to crash out mid-way through the song. He exclaimed:
“Shut the f**k up! (KSI shouts, ‘Still lost.’) See you next month.”
Since the Sidemen Charity Match is scheduled for March 8, 2025, it was obvious that IShowSpeed was referring to this. While Sidemen has not officially announced him yet, it looks increasingly likely that the streamer will play.

Has IShowSpeed Scored in A Football (Soccer) Charity Match?
IShowSpeed is widely recognized for his strong connection to the football (soccer) community. He has collaborated with several footballers and participated in major events such as the Sidemen Charity Match in 2022 and 2023; and the Match For Hope in 2024 and 2025.
Despite his athletic abilitie, speed, and energy—IShowSpeed has yet to score a goal in any of the mentioned matches. His closest opportunity came during the Sidemen Charity Match 2023 when he was awarded a penalty with KSI as the goalkeeper. However, he scuffed his shot, allowing KSI to make an easy save.
On the other hand, he has provided a couple of assists in these matches. In yesterday’s event, Speed sprinted down the flank and crossed the ball, causing KSI to score an own goal.
Some major names have already been announced for the Sidemen Charity Match 2025, including Kai Cenat and Fanum from AMP. It seems to be a matter of when, not if, Speed will participate.
The organizers have scheduled the Sidemen Charity Match 2025 for March 8, 2025, at Wembley Stadium. With a seating capacity of 90,000, Wembley is one of the largest stadiums in Europe.
