Planet Coaster 2 is the latest adventure theme-park simulator from Frontier Developments, and this sequel features tons of new attractions. With a plethora of building options like parks, water rides, and many other attractions, you can easily spend countless hours enjoying this game.
If you own Xbox Game Pass on PC, you might want to know if Planet Coaster 2 will be included in its list of games. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case currently. In this article, we will explore the availability of this game on Xbox Game Pass and its possibilities for future inclusion.
Planet Coaster 2 on Xbox Game Pass: Will It Be Available?
At the time of writing, Planet Coaster 2 is not available on Xbox Game Pass. Moreover, there is no official confirmation currently that Planet Coaster 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass at a future date. The sequel to the hugely popular theme park management simulator was released on Steam and Xbox on November 6, 2024. If you own an Xbox Game Pass, this news will come as a massive disappointment.
The prequel to this game, Planet Coaster, was originally available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Regrettably, Planet Coaster 2 did not receive the same treatment from Frontier Developments. The original Planet Coaster is currently not available on Xbox Game Pass anymore. If you want to play the predecessor before tackling the sequel, your only option is to purchase it for $49.99.
What Platforms Are Planet Coaster 2 Available On?
Although Planet Coaster 2 is not included in the Xbox Game Pass, you will be able to purchase it on the following platforms:
- PC
- Xbox Series X|S
- PlayStation 5
Unfortunately, Planet Coaster 2 does not seem to be backward compatible. So, last-gen consoles like Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 will not be able to run the new version. However, the game is available in two versions—the Standard edition and the more expensive Deluxe edition. You can purchase both on Steam if you are a PC gamer.
