Learn whether GSC Game World’s upcoming survival game, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is coming to Xbox Game Pass, or not.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the upcoming survival game from developer GSC Game World, is just a few days away from release. While the original STALKER was a PC exclusive at release back in 2007, the sequel is coming to consoles as well, albeit with some caveats. STALKER 2 is releasing exclusively on current-generation Xbox consoles, alongside PC. As is the case with most Xbox exclusives, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is coming to Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate (for PC and consoles). Furthermore, the game will be available to pre-load for Game Pass subscribers ahead of its official release date.
STALKER 2 is among the long list of third-party titles that received a simultaneous Game Pass release alongside the regular retail versions. However, it should be noted that the Game Pass version only includes the Standard Edition. Players who want to get the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions will have to buy upgrades for those versions separately. Can You Pre-Load STALKER 2 on Xbox Game Pass
Yes, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl’s Xbox Game Pass version can be pre-loaded on both PC and consoles. At the time of writing this article, pre-downloads are live for the regular console version of the game. The Xbox Game Pass version will be available to pre-load roughly 48 hours ahead of the official release, i.e., on November 18, 2024. Pre-loading games on Xbox Game Pass is a straightforward process. Simply head to the Latest tab on the Xbox Store, look for STALKER 2, make sure you select the Xbox Game Pass version of the game, and click on Get. Once the game is added to your Xbox library, you can add it to your Download Queue.
All STALKER 2 Editions
The Xbox Game Pass version of GSC Game World’s upcoming title only includes the Standard Edition. However, if you want to upgrade to the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions, you can do so by purchasing the respective upgrade packs. Furthermore, you can also choose to purchase the DLCs and cosmetic add-ons separately for the Game Pass version of the title after its official release. Do note that the DLCs purchased for the Game Pass version of a title do not work with the regular retail version. That being said, here’s a look at all the different editions of STALKER 2:

It should be noted that the prices for the upgrade packs have not been revealed yet. The prices will most likely be revealed close to STALKER 2’s official release date, i.e., November 20, 2024.
