MrBeast supports YouTuber PewDiePie and calls out Kai Cenat for his controversial statement regarding the YouTuber.
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently called out former YouTube sensation PewDiePie. While Kai questioned the latter’s success, a number of people on the internet did not like the streamer’s opinion. Kai’s clip, where he couldn’t understand why PewDiePie had such a large fanbase, garnered a lot of attention because of his unpopular opinion. YouTube star MrBeast took to X to call out Kai Cenat for the same. He stated through a post on the platform:
“L take, he fundamentally shaped YouTube culture. I miss meme review and loved watching play random games while I ate dinner every night. Poods a goat.”
A number of MrBeast’s fans agreed with what he said and showed their disagreement with Kai Cenat’s statement. Some said that Kai might not belong to PewDiePie’s target audience. However, some fans agreed with Kai, stating that they did not understand PewDiePie’s humor.
What Did Kai Cenat Say About PewDiePie?
On February 24, 2025, Kai Cenat expressed a controversial viewpoint about Felix “PewDiePie.” He found it incomprehensible that PewDiePie had so many fans. The streamer stated:
“This may be an L take, and, I apologize in advance, but I couldn’t see how ni**as got into PewDiePie, I’m sorry… I’ll be honest, that might be an L take though.”

PewDiePie and MrBeast were never in a rivalry, even though they were previously the second- and third-most-subscribed YouTubers, respectively. To help advertise his channel, MrBeast even made several videos when PewDiePie and T-Series faced off in a subscriber race.
Just like how he called out Kai Cenat, MrBeast has always been very supportive of PewDiePie. He initially overtook PewDiePie in terms of subscribers in July 2023. When he achieved this, he called the Swedish celebrity the “King of YouTube.” He said:
“Pewdiepie is still the king of YouTube.”
