WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry called out IShowSpeed after the latter called him out for a wrestling match at Royal Rumble 2025.
Retired wrestler Mark Henry called out Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. after the streamer challenged Henry to a match. Speed appeared at the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Royal Rumble 2025 event and made his official wrestling debut. He was injured at the event, but he promised he would return in 2026. The streamer called out multiple wrestlers, including Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Mark Henry.
Mark Henry found out about Speed’s challenge and responded via social media. Henry is a former WWE and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) wrestler. He competed under the WWE banner for 25 years.
IShowSpeed has not responded to Henry’s challenge, but the two might face off in a wrestling ring. In January 2025, WWE Chief Content Officer (CCO) Paul “Triple H” Levesque personally invited Speed to appear at the Royal Rumble. The CCO gave the streamer backstage access and a spot in the 30-member Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Mark Henry Calls Out IShowSpeed on Social Media
The former WWE World Champion called out Speed on X and invited him to join his Busted Open podcast. The former wrestler said:
“Speed you might wanna be careful mentioning my name. You gotta ask your friends about me. I ain’t the one.”

The retired wrestler invited IShowSpeed to join his Busted Open wrestling podcast for a chat. Henry’s callout is likely a promo for an upcoming collaboration between the two personalities. Speed is a WWE fan who has appeared on the show multiple times.
What Did Speed Say About Mark Henry at Royal Rumble?
IShowSpeed competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble match and eliminated WWE Superstar Nikola “Otis” Mihajlović Bogojević. However, the YouTuber’s time in the ring was short-lived. Wrestler Bron Breakker knocked Speed out of the ring into Otis’ arms. Otis was visibly furious about being eliminated by Speed, so he smashed the YouTuber into the announcer’s table and injured him.
After the WWE medics treated IShowSpeed’s injuries, an interviewer asked him:
“How do you feel you fared considering all the elements and odds stacked against you?”
Speed said he would return to the WWE and compete in the next Royal Rumble. He added:
“If I had more time. I don’t know why they keep doing this to me. If I had more time, I promise you, I could do way more than y’all think I could. Next Royal Rumble I’m calling out everybody. Roman Reigns, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Dom…it don’t matter who you are. I’m getting all y’all. Just wait until I start training out there.”
While Mark Henry is a retired WWE wrestler, he is still eligible to appear at next year’s Royal Rumble. The pay-per-view event featured not just WWE Superstars but also former wrestlers and celebrities, making a Speed vs. Mark Henry matchup a real possibility.
