Bussing is one of the reporting categories in Marvel Rivals that allows you to report players who team up with cheaters in the hero shooter.

Bussing is a reporting option in Marvel Rivals, NetEase Games’ latest hit 6v6 hero shooter. It helps players to maintain a fair gaming environment. With its rising popularity, more players are diving into the multiplayer shooter game and participating in competitive play.
While most players strive hard to climb their ranks, some others use cheats and unethical ways to achieve the feat. Thankfully, Marvel Rivals allows players to report cheaters under various categories, with ‘Bussing’ being one of them. However, many players are unsure what the term actually means. Understanding what bussing means is essential to effectively using the report feature in Marvel Rivals.

What Is Meant by Bussing in Marvel Rivals?

Bussing is a gaming term that refers to players who do not actively use cheats themselves but intentionally or willingly join with cheaters to gain unfair advantages such as rank boosting. NetEase Games referred to the term as follows: “Bussing typically refers to players intentionally teaming up with cheaters to boost their own game ranking.”
While this can be a common thing in other team-based multiplayer games, Marvel Rivals specifically added a reporting category to address or condemn such behavior.
This system ensures a fair playing environment. However, it also raised confusion among players who wonder if they could be banned for unintentionally or randomly being matched with a cheater. Fortunately, that’s not likely the case. The developers evaluate and monitor cheating and report patterns carefully before issuing a ban. Just make sure to not knowingly join or support cheaters. It’s better to report such players if you find yourself in a match with one.

How To Report Bussing in Marvel Rivals
While bussing may not be a big thing in casual matches, it can seriously affect the integrity of competitive play. Even a single cheater can ruin the experience for everyone in the match. If you suspect a player of cheating or bussing in any of the two teams, it is always best to report them.
- You can report during the match by opening the scorecard and clicking on the player and hitting the ‘Report Player’ option. Choose the right category under reporting. In this case, it’s ‘Bussing.’
- You can also report a player after completing a match by heading to the History tab by clicking your profile icon. This will bring up the scorecard; select the player and hit report.
