Is Human Torch coming to Marvel Rivals? The flying Fantastic 4 member was teased along with many other names that were to be added to the roster. There have been leaks suggesting that he is coming to the game after all.

First, we had a rough character design of him. But now, social media is booming again because his skill kit has also been leaked. It appears that he will be a DPS character, or a Duelist in the game’s terminology. The leaked hero selection screen also suggests the same.

We expect to see Johnny Storm sometime in January 2025 with the beginning of Season 1 of Marvel Rivals. Since S0 is called Doom’s Rise, he may be closely linked with the story as part of the connection that Doctor Doom shares with the Fantastic 4.

But what are his abilities? Will he team up with somebody? Will he be buffed in the coming season? Find out everything related to the Human Torch leaks below.

All the Leaked Information on Human Torch

Human Torch’s leaked abilities are as follows:

  • Fire Cluster (Basic)
  • Plasma Body (Traversal)
  • Pyro-Prison
  • Flaming Meteor
  • Blazing Blast
  • Supernova (Ultimate)
  • Omega Fire (Team-Up)

Each of these skills is not as simple as they seem. In fact, the game seems to have put some extra effort into making sure that the Human Torch plays much differently than the two other flying characters.

The Fire Cluster attack is something that players will have access to as the basic attack of Johnny Storm. He will launch a fireball that can split and hit multiple enemies at once.

His traversal ability, Plasma Body, lets him ascend with acceleration, telling us that he is most probably a flying character. Once in the air, Human Torch can dive down and stun nearby enemies upon impact using the Flaming Meteor ability.

He has a Blazing Blast, which launches a fireball to create a flame field at the targeted area. And if this wasn’t enough, players can combine multiple Blazing Blasts with the Pyro-Prison ability to form a firewall, connecting all the flame fields and dealing burning damage to enemies inside.

His Ultimate Ability, Supernova, unleashes a shockwave that deals damage to nearby enemies. Plus, if there is a flame field on the battleground, it will transform into a fire tornado.

Human Torch’s Team-up ability, Omega Fire, is pretty unique because it allows both heroes to use their ultimates together. The mutant Storm can consume Human Torch’s fire tornadoes into her own ultimate to ignite her hurricane. It’s a two-way street, and he can also assist her in her rampage by activating his ult. If there are any tornadoes in the path, they will only intensify the Storm’s hurricane.

NetEase hasn’t confirmed this kit yet. Or it might just straight up arrive in the game with the onset of Season 1. Although we hope for a day-one release for Johnny Storm on the 2nd of January 2025, he may not be released until an S1 Seasonal Event arrives.
