Here are all the difficulty options you can try in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake:
- Very Easy
- Easy
- Normal
- Hard
- Extreme
- European Extreme (Can only be unlocked after finishing the game in Extreme difficulty)
Very Easy

This option is a good way for newcomers to step into the Metal Gear franchise. Enemy aggression has been greatly reduced, and this makes it easier to slip past them. Their detection level is reduced, which will make it easier to unlock The Early End trophy. Naked Snake will have a much longer health bar, and you will have access to the following sensors:
- Active Sonar
- Anti-Personnel Sensor
- Motion Detector
If you are only interested in the story and don’t want to worry about the challenges, this is a good difficulty option.
Easy

This is a slightly elevated version of the Very Easy option. Naked Snake’s health bar will only be 1.5% longer than usual and shares the same sensors as the first difficulty option.
Normal

Unlike the first two options, you will have to be much more careful about how you navigate. You will still have access to some sensors, except the Anti-Personnel Detector. This will test your skills in stealth and is a fine balance between the easy and hard difficulties.
Hard

As the name implies, this will be a much harder experience than all previous options combined. Enemies will have a higher attack power and could detect you more easily. Other than the harder enemies, you will only have access to the Anti-Personnel Detector.
Extreme

We recommend that players think carefully before selecting this option. Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is not for the faint of heart, and the stealth and combat might pose a challenge for beginners. If you have played through the original version or gone through multiple playthroughs of this remake, you might have a better chance of reaching the end.
European Extreme

This is the hardest difficulty in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater. Once you are caught in an enemy’s sightline, it is game over for Naked Snake. Everything you learned will be put to the test, and this could take a while to complete.
