Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is just a few months away from its official release date. And with the game’s launch being right around the corner, Konami has finally unveiled the official PC system requirements for the highly anticipated remake.

While the game is built using Unreal Engine 5, it seems to be more VRAM-dependent than other UE5 titles of late. Unreal Engine 5 does require plenty of VRAM, but in most instances, the engine is mostly CPU-dependent. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case for the upcoming Metal Gear remake. Furthermore, unlike the Silent Hill 2 Remake, MGS Delta Snake Eater comes with a rather hefty storage requirement.

Here’s everything you need to know about Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater’s official PC system requirements and its file size.

Surprisingly enough, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is fairly light on the CPU department. The game’s recommended CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 equivalent, which falls perfectly in line with the CPUs in current-gen consoles. However, the game’s GPU requirements are a bit on the higher end of the spectrum.

The minimum GPU for the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is an RTX 2060 Super, which, despite its age, is still a fairly competent card for 1080p. As for the recommended specifications, the game requires an RTX 3080 equivalent, which targets 1440p and 4K resolutions. Here’s a look at the minimum and recommended system requirements:

Minimum

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows® 10, Windows® 11 (64-bit OS required)
  • Processor: Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: RTX 2060 Super (8GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100 GB available space

According to the official PC system requirements, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater requires roughly 100 GB of storage space. Granted the game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and is a note-for-note recreation of the original MGS3, its file size is not surprising. Unreal Engine games usually come with relatively larger file sizes, and considering the amount of content MGS3 has, the 100 GB storage requirement seems apt. Do note that Konami highly recommends installing the game on an SSD instead of a traditional HDD.
