This item allows you to display items, as its name suggests but is capable of far more. You can use the Item Frame to make secret doors, holster torches, map walls, and much more. It is one of the best items to have in your buildings and is fairly simple to craft, too.

How To Create an Item Frame
The Item Frame is fairly easy to craft and requires only two items to do so. You will need the following resources to craft the frame:
- 8x Sticks
- 1x Leather
The sticks can be obtained by approaching any tree and then hitting it with your pickaxe to chop it down. Leather can be a little trickier to find. You can find this item as a random drop from cows, mooshrooms, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, hoglins, and trader llamas. Alternatively, you can also pick this item up as junk while fishing.
Once you have the resources in place, head to the Crafting Table and interact with it to bring up the crafting menu. Place the 8x sticks on the edges around the grid and place the 1x leather at the center. This will give you the Item Frame.

How To Use Item Frame
Item Frames can go on walls, floors, and ceilings. You can place the frame anywhere you see fit in a structure. While displaying items is its primary use, it also doubles up as a container that holds items inside. It can also be used to make doors, which open and close with a click.
The Item Frame is best used for maps. Using the frame to hold a map creates a map wall, which enlarges the map, giving you a better look. The Item Frame’s location is marked as a green box on the map, which gives you a better sense of direction.
