Streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter returned to Twitch in January 2025 after her YouTube contract expired. She has been collaborating with other content creators and participated in a recent Twitch Rivals event. The streamer seemingly considered getting a VTuber model for her Twitch channel, but her mother allegedly stopped her.

The streamer posted about her interaction with her mother on X on February 13, 2025. She said her mother will never allow her to use a VTuber model because she needs to see her daughter’s face. The tweet went viral with over 400,000 views and her community found the interaction wholesome. Popular VTuber Ironmouse said that she could convince Valkyrae’s mother if given a chance.

Valkyrae started dual-streaming on Twitch and YouTube in January 2025. She has been playing Pokémon and Marvel Rivals on stream. After her return to Twitch, she collaborated with creators like Ironmouse, Hasan Piker, Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An, and Thomas “Sykkuno”.

Valkyrae’s Mother Stops Her Daughter From VTubing

The streamer’s broadcasts often have high-quality animations featuring a cartoon version of Valkyrae. Her friends Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Ironmouse have VTubing experience and she seemingly considered trying it out. However, things did not work out as the streamer shared on X:

“mom said I’m not allowed to ever have a vtube model because she needs to see my face every stream”

VShojo-partnered streamer Ironmouse replied that she could convince Valkyrae’s mother to change her mind. Other internet users appreciated the mother-daughter interaction and said it was a wholesome moment.

The streamer had a successful return to Twitch this year. According to Streams Charts, Valkyrae gained over 64,000 followers on the platform since her return. Her first stream after her hiatus from Twitch peaked at over 23,000 followers and he has already secured over 4.5 million views in 2025.

The Streamer Recently Leaked an Upcoming Twitch Event

During a livestream on February 12, 2025, Valkyrae leaked details about an upcoming Twitch event. The streaming platform regularly hosts “Twitch Rivals” events. One of the upcoming events will feature a browser-based game GeoGuessr game according to the streamer. Sykunno asked her during a Pokemon livestream:

“So, hey, there’s a Twitch Rivals I got invited to. I’m supposed to invite someone.”

Valkyrae accidentally leaked information about an upcoming Twitch Rivals event saying:

“Oh, it’s the GeoGuessr. I am not doing that, brother.”

Sykkuno looked surprised and he responded jokingly:

“Did you just leak the GeoGuessr thing? Man, Twitch Rivals is really not going to like you. All you’ve done is flame them and leak their stuff. This is crazy.”

Valkyrae realized that the event information was private. She said that she would take full responsibility for the leak if they suffered any consequences.
